Hello! My name is Kelsey Brantmeier and I am a graphic designer based in Columbus, Ohio. In my eight years of experience, I have worked in both digital and print mediums, creating everything from trade show banners and product catalogs to emails and landing pages. In my most recent role, I have had the opportunity to create licensed and unlicensed artwork for apparel, which has been a humbling and rewarding experience as I've come from a more traditional marketing and design background.
I chose to pursue a career in graphic design because this field marries my passion for art and creativity with my skills in problem solving and critical thinking. I love to deliver beautiful solutions! Graphic design also offers me plenty of opportunities to learn and grow whether that be discovering the intricacies of new industries or acquiring new skills for my practice.
The thing I am most proud of in my career is my ability to grow and adapt. While I was at Sarnova, I learned how to brand marketing campaigns and medical product lines, dove deep into InDesign and Photoshop, picked up new skills in Adobe XD, dabbled in UX design, and copywriting, and developed valuable leadership and communication skills through the advice of my mentors. Then, I entered the world of apparel design at Hybrid Digital, where I started on the marketing team and then expressed interest in and eventually transitioned to the graphics team. I learned a whole new set of skills in Adobe Illustrator and embraced the fun, fast-paced, and artistic side of design.
With all that I've learned so far, a natural progression for me would be an intermediate or senior level graphic design role that offers me opportunities to grow new skills like motion graphics, brand strategy, or mentoring young designers.
